We here at New Horizons Realty would like to start the holiday season by thanking everyone
who supported the Gulf Coast this summer. We truly appreciate every person who visited despite the
media coverage of the oil spill. We are thankful for the success of the Concerts for the Coast series that
started back in July with Jimmy Buffett and recently concluded with Alan Jackson playing to a packed
house at the Wharf amphitheater. The tourist season is winding down and the weather is cooling off and
you know what that means – it’s snowbird season! We want to personally welcome all our winter visitors
and say thank you for your continued support.

Although things are slowing down a bit around here, we are ready for a busy holiday season.
Below you will find a list of upcoming events here on the coast. You can also keep yourself updated by
checking out the beach report and event announcements on the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach CVB Facebook or at www.GulfShores.com, www.OrangeBeach.com.

In Closing...

Thank you to all the visionaries who acted on the opportunities these challenging times had to offer.  They realize that despite the economy now is a GREAT time to invest in Real Estate market. For one thing mortgages are more affordable than they have been in a very long time. Interest rates for 30 year fixed rates are hovering at the 4% rate,  housing prices have also seen a 40-60% drop in the last six years. So if you are on the fence about buying a home or a vacation home, now is the time to act.

Remember it is only a matter of time before the housing market turns. Here on the coast premium properties, the best buys at the best price, are disappearing fast.

Take advantage of foreclosures, distressed properties, and short sales.  You owe it to yourself to take advantage of the current conditions of the housing market and invest in your future.
